Felicity Jones is a British actress best known in the role of Jane Hawking in the critically acclaimed movie The Theory of Everything. Jones has been an actor since the age of 12, has appeared in several TV and film series. Jones began her acting career in the television movie The Treasure Seekers. In the following year she made an appearance in The Worst Witch as Ethel Hallow as well as Weirdsisters college. Her first feature film Flashbacks of a Fool (which she starred in), Young Ruth, she went on and acted in a variety of other films. Her acting made her famous through films like The Invisible Woman, and The Amazing Spider-Man. Her performance on the screen in The Theory of Everything was the one that earned her an Oscar nomination. The biopic was inspired by the biography of the physicist Stephen Hawking, and Jones was highly praised by audiences and critics due to her superb portrayal of Hawking's first wife. The film was followed by Inferno a thriller starring Tom Hanks. Jones was named British Artist of Year 2016 by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles for her exceptional talent and contributions to film.
