An South Carolina native, Kelly attended college at Clemson University prior to completing a degree in broadcasting journalism from the University of Miami. Kelly had a dream of becoming the TV host of a channel from her childhood. The jobs that were offered in the field were enthralling and fascinating to Kelly. She graduated from Clemson University after her high school graduation and obtained an undergraduate degree in Leadership in Youth Development. After graduating from the high school she went to Clemson University in South Carolina and earned a bachelor's degree.
